What is an Alliance?

An Alliance is a group of professionals from different disciplines that serve seniors and their caregivers, and who work together to provide a superior level of expertise in solving senior issues.

Why are Alliances necessary?

In today’s world, where mom and dad may live across the country, the Alliances provide a “go to” group in each community that can be depended upon to provide information and assistance to help with a family’s needs, both medical and non-medical. Please use our Alliance Locator to find an Alliance in your area.

How do I become involved in an Alliance or form a new Alliance?

Submit the Alliance Request form. We will be able to determine if there is an existing Alliance in your area that needs your services or if there is a need for a new Alliance.

Who are the members of an Alliance?

Qualified professionals specializing in the health, financial and social issues seniors face. Please see our Potential Member List for ideas on who to include in an Alliance. Each Alliance membership is exclusive; one representative from each industry may become a member of an Alliance unless otherwise agreed upon by the professionals themselves and the members.

How long does it take to set up a new Alliance?

The usual time is 4-6 weeks. Once, a meeting location is found, and a date and time is scheduled, we begin our recruiting process for the introductory meeting. Your help in this process is always encouraged since you already have established relationships with professionals in your community.

What are the fees associated with membership in an Alliance?

There is a $72 per quarter membership fee for each member.

What do I receive for the membership fee?

Each Alliance receives a customized website that PHS will host and maintain. It will list all the members with their photos and professional biographies. Each Alliance member will have up to 1000 electronic newsletters (Senior Spirit) sent every month for free to recipients of the member’s choice (there is a $25 charge for over 1000 recipients). We will provide press releases that announce the formation of the Alliance, mid-year progress reports, year-end successes and accomplishments. Finally, we create customized tri-fold brochures for your Alliance to enhance your marketing and networking to help grow your business among senior groups. You will also receive a subscription to Success with Seniors, a monthly newsletter subscription that is designed for the professional working with seniors. It’s filled with relevant, practical advice on marketing to seniors through multiple channels; a $297 annual value.

Is there a “contract” for membership?

Yes! There is a month-to-month agreement that you sign which agrees to the ethical standards and monthly fee as long as you are a member. You can terminate this monthly contract at any time by giving written notice via email to PHS.

How do I sign up for an Alliance?

Review our Membership Application, President’s Agreement and Fee Schedule for details concerning membership requirements. Request to have an Alliance Coordinator at PHS contact you.

How many professionals are typically in an Alliance?

Alliances range from 5 to 25 members. The most successful Alliances have over 10 members. ADD: Potential Member List

How do I handle compliance issues?

We will work with you on any compliance issue. We have been successful in working with all compliance issues to date! Please contact a PHS Alliance Coordinator with any questions.

How is the need for an Alliance determined?

There are two factors used in determining the need for an Alliance: population density and geographic distance from existing or proposed Alliances.

How can I find out if there are Alliances in my state?

Use the Alliance Locator to find any existing Alliances in your state.
